How to create professional videos with your iPhone 3GS

November 29th, 2009 | Category: AppSTORE Apps,iPhoneNEWS,iWorldNEWS

[Step One] You will need to shelve out $12.97 for 3 different video editing apps, all courtesy of Nexvio Inc.

They are: SlowMo ($0.99) + ReelMoments ($3.99) + ReelDirector ($7.99).

[Step Two] Take some candid, random video shots with your iPhone 3GS. Even better, stick to a common theme. Example: ‘A Day at the Park’, ‘Carnival in Town’, ‘Sex in the City’ (ok, this one is out!).

[Step Three] For OS3.1 and above, there is an option for you to TRIM out a certain portion of a video clip that you have taken. Limit yourself to less than a minute for the edited clip. Then, Save it as a New Clip.

[Step Four] Use ReelMoments to capture some dramatic time-lapsed video shots. Imagine the blooming of flowers, clouds fleeting over the sky, or people flooding the subway station and exiting it in rapid motions and the end result would be an intense addition to your otherwise monotonous end video clip.

[Step Five] Remember those edited video clips that you trimmed from those candid video shots that you took earlier? Good, now you will apply some slow motion effect using SlowMo. Adjust the speed (fast, slow) accordingly.

[Step Six] Finally, compile all those edited video clips that you have above into one with ReelDirector. With a drag-and-drop timeline, multiple text watermark styles and 27 pro grade transitions, you’ll turn your scattered video clips into polished movies in just minutes!

Have fun, this is the best iMovie combo available on the App Store right now. iPhone 3GS users rejoice!

Rumor of Apple field testing new iPhone surfaces…

November 29th, 2009 | Category: MacRUMORS,iPhoneNEWS

The developer of iBART, a public transportation guide for San Francisco, has spotted an iPhone3,1 user in their log files, according to MacRumors.

PinchMedia who provides the analytics for the application breaks down customer usage including what specific devices are being used. This list of devices is reported to developers using internal device identification numbers assigned by Apple. In this case, “iPhone3,1″ was first spotted in Pandav’s usage logs in November. This “iPhone3,1″ identifier does not match up with any shipping iPhones. The last iPhone released to the public was the iPhone 3GS which carries the identification string “iPhone2,1″.

MacRumors indicates that Apple began testing the iPhone 3GS (iPhone2,1) in October of 2008 about 8 months ahead of its launch. Testing of iPhone2,1 was also spotted in the San Francisco Bay Area.
