New apps for iPod touch used in Apple Retail Stores
According to AppleInsider, in addition to the EasyPay iPod touch application used for checkouts, Apple Retail employees will be provided with at least three more exclusive in-house apps for use within the Apple Retail Stores across US & Europe. No word yet on the status of international stores.
1. One will allow employees to swap iPhones and iPods on the store floor which previously could only be done at the store’s Genius Bar.
2. Another would assist employees who work in the stock room.
All the proprietary apps are designed to ease and simplify tasks and would be ready ‘very soon’.
