Screen Protectors banned from Apple Stores
Effective May 2010, screen protectors for iPhones, iPods and Mac computers will be banned from Apple’s retail and online stores.
The ban affects all types of screen films which include clear film, anti-glare film and mirrored film. Apple stated that not only will they be removing film only products, but any cases that includes film protection as well.
Apple has not disclosed their reasons for the ban. This leads vendors to believe that Apple may be doing so in order to keep consumers from thinking that their devices’ screens scratch easily.
